Derek and Courtney came over for a visit today. Courtney has her bear that she can have as long as she doesn't suck her thumb. So today she said grandma I got my bear. I asked why? She said oh he got sick so I had to take care of him, he threw up in my moms closet. I said, oh yuck did you clean it up? She said no I just sprayed some flower spray! Poor pathetic stained bear but he is SO LOVED!!!

This is Courtneys favorite blanket at Grandmas house, my mom and I made it for Derek when I was pregnant with him. She decided to (try) some of her magic on her daddy (Derek) She covered him up with his blanket and took my comb and then started with her abra cadabra and then proceded to say about 10 more unknown words as the comb was flying through the air in her hand. She pulled the blanket back and he was still there! It was so funny she went something like hhhhrrrrrrr, it didn't work!!!

Girls weekend at the cabin

We had our girls weekend at my parents cabin. It was so much fun to visit with everyone! We need to do this more often. We all laughed so hard and had such a good time together. (click on the middle picture, there was an owl on the bird feeder on the front porch.) Friday night we had a nice thunder rain storm came through the pines and cooled us down so nicely , I bet at one point we were in the high sixties. NICE!!!

2009 Michigan trip

Courtney asked me what I wanted her to bring me back from Michigan and I told her a boat. She said, Grandma that is too big! She said, they only have little sea shells so that is what you are going to get. I told her i wanted an icecream cone, she said GRANDMA!!!! I love our conversations!!! Every July Lindseys whole family goes to Michigan to visit her grandpa. Her grandpa has a place right next to the lake. It is beautiful!

Today I made Jessica homemade spaghetti and pineapple upside down cake to try to make her feel better, I don't think it worked. She has been nauseated all day long. Yuck!
