This cabinet is a great babysitter

Carlee spends a lot of time in this cabinet. Of course it had to be cleaned out to make way for Carlee. But thats ok what ever makes Carlee happy makes us happy. She is such a good little girl, we can take her shopping for hours and she is so good. She just sits there and waves at people and says Hi! She smiles at everyone that passes by.

Pretty Baby!

Carlee got a new toy to help her walk. I am sure going to miss this little girl when they move out, of course they aren't going far. I checked it out yesterday it is 1.4 miles. I can live with that, I think.

Our 12th wedding anniversary

Lee and I have been married for 12 years today. We went to Carrabbas for dinner, it was very tasty! When we got home we had some fun with Carlee.

I think I might want to get a job in March or April. Anyone know of a good job?

My $4.98 bargain

I went to Pennys today and found this darling dress for Carlee. I was so excited to find such a good bargain! It's a Christmas dress but you don't have to wear green just around Christmas time. The regular price was $40.00 and it was marked down to $4.98! So when you see Carlee wearing her new dress to church make sure you tell her how darling she is.

Today for my birthday I got to eat at two of my favorite places. Thank you to Jessica for my lunch at Knock Kneed Lobster, their deep fried cod is to die for! Best in town! And then it was off to Texas Road House where Lee and I had dinner. It was very good! Thank you for all the calls and cards and thank you to Candice, my visiting teacher for the cookies. You are the best visiting teacher anyone could ever ask for! Thank you. It was a nice day.

Carlee is even cute when she has an attitude!

Carlee stood up for the first time and Jessica got a picture of it

Nora and I went to see Marley and Me today. It was cute. But take a Kleenex! I didn't know what the movie was about at all. I felt very bad and leaned over to Nora and said I am so sorry, I didn't know what this movie was about. For those of you that don't know My friend Nora lost her son last Sunday night and his funeral was Friday. Today was her first day without family around and I didn't want her to be alone so I said lets go to the movie and she was all for it. Parents aren't suppose to have to bury their children, it is suppose to be the other way around. This is Nora's second son that has passed away so she hasn't had the best life but she still has a smile on her face. We have been friends for 14 years now. It is a great friendship that we have and I am so thankful for our friendship. We have a lot of fun together and are always there for each other. Nora's son had been a quadriplegic for the last ten years. I have never seen such a devoted mother. He had to live in a facility across town but every single week she would go visit him after work on Wednesdays and every Saturday. Sometimes every day when he was in the hospital, he would get pneumonia a lot from being a quadriplegic. Nora you are a great mother and don't you ever forget that! Your devotion to Michael was something you should be very proud of.

My special afternoon

My sister put an addition on her house for my parents to live in. It's done and my parents got to move in yesterday. I was helping my mom by putting some of her favorite treasures in her china cabinet. I absolutelty loved spending that time with her. I cherish every moment I get with my mom. I think I could almost feel the presence of my grandparents there with us yesterday as mom would hand me things that belonged to her mom and dad and my dads mom to put in the china cabinet. It was a very special afternoon for me to help my parents get organized in their new home. My parents are 84 and 88 years old and have had to be taken to several doctors appointments lately. Last week my dad asked me if I ever wished I was born an orphan! It was so funny. I said, why do you say that? He said, then that way you would'nt have to be taking us everywhere. I said, hey you and mom took very good care of us kids and took me especially to many dr. appointments through the years. I said, It is now our turn to take care of you. Last Thursday my sister and I took him to a 4 hour appointment to the Cardiologist to have some tests run. When we got home he had tears in his eyes and said thank you both for all you do for me I appreciate you so much. He said, every time I think of what you do for me I get tears in my eyes. It was a very sweet and tender moment. My dad is about 95% blind and walks with a walker. My mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. I am so thankful that I am able to help my parents out in these years when they need me. I know it must be so hard on them to have to be so dependent on us kids. I know those years scare me to death, I do not want to have to go through that myself but I am sure I will and I am blessed with wonderful children that I know will take good care of me too.

Air-conditioning was invented by Willis Carrier to help a Brooklyn, New York, printer get decent color during hot, humid weather. Air-conditioning wasn’t used for cooling people until 1924, when it made its debut at the J. L. Hudson Department Store in Detroit, Michigan. (This is another one of my useless facts.) I am so thankful for air conditioners! I grew up without air conditioning here in Phoenix. I don't remember it being all that bad as a child. But as an adult if the A.C. goes out I get in a BAD mood! And that's interesting that Carrier invented A.C., our other house has had the same Carrier unit on it for 24 years. It's a good one!

Jessica's up to no good

Bad things happen when you go to bed and leave Jessica unattended in the office, and she has my password to my blog. As you will see below she added something very scarey. I just wanted to let everyone know that I did not post this, I am not sexy!

You would of never of guessed

???

I guess it doesn't really matter but my post time is off by 1 hour does any one know how to tell me how to fix that?

11 Months

It's hard to believe that Carlee is 11 months old today. Wow, has time flown by! But to Grandmas horror she has found her nose! By working in Laveen's Preschool for 11 years, I seem to have no tolerance for any child to even come close to touching their noses. I have seen way too much dangling goo!

Dinner Delights

This chicken is so good! I marinade chicken tenders in Yoshidas Original Gourmet Sauce preferably over night and then I put them on the grill, they are oh so delicious! I guess they look kind of burned but they certainly don't taste that way.

Every night we all hang out in the office playing on the computers. We all have a great time together. Even Carlee has fun with us.

If I told you this was my backyard would you believe me? No, I didn't think so. I just have to pretend. I LOVE TULIPS!!!
I think Jessica and I are addicted to Kirklands. We love to go there at least once a week to see whats new. They know us pretty well in there. She is getting a lot of cute things for their new home. Next month is the month! I can't wait to help her decorate. I have the best daughter in the world! She was on the phone with Tommy, who was stuck in Santa Fe New Mexico on New Years Eve, he was out of town on business.

I love my useless facts section, I didn't know that greyhounds could run up to 45 miles per hour! I knew they were fast but not that fast. These dogs have been around for 5000 years.
Well, I thought I was going to go to bed at 9:30. I forgot to bring out the box of New Years stuff for the girls to play with. So here they are. I finally got to go to bed at 10:30. I made Courtney a bed on the floor next to me, so I said to Courtney, in an hour and a half at midnight some fireworks might wake you up but you don't need to get scared because everything is ok its just the new year and people are celebrating. She said, grandma, I need to tell you something, I think I need to sleep with you tonight. She is so sweet!
